Event: Local kick-off of the “Lake County Sticker Shock Project”

Event Location: Six local SADD Chapters will be targeting convenience stores in the Mt. Dora, Lady Lake, Fruitland Park and Groveland areas.

Tavares/Mt. Dora group will meet at the Chevron Station, on 441 in Mt. Dora at 8:00AM. .
Leesburg group will meet at the Leesburg Police Department on Main Street at 8:00am..

At this event, youth from the local SADD (Students Against Destructive Decisions) Chapters will join with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office to kick off this youth led alcohol prevention activity. Because Lake County is 29th in the state for underage drinking, the goal of the Lake County Sticker Shock Project is to reach adults who might purchase alcohol legally and provide it to minors!
This program is being coordinated by the Safe Climate Coalition of Lake County, Inc. with assistance from the SADD Chapters and the Lake County Sheriff’s Office. Funding for this project is provided by the 2010 STOP ACT Grant awarded to the Safe Climate Coalition of Lake County, Inc.
