Volunteers
Our Volunteers are the backbone of our outreach. Each person who has given of their time and talents has helped
the county show strides in our efforts to keep our youth safe. From Sticker Shock to SADD chapters in our
schools, we continually need Volunteers to reach our students. Work groups are also formed. These structured
groups are given opportunities to guide our projects by research and hands on application. Each completed project
successfully initiates positive feedback.
Fundraisers
Safe Climate Coalition in Lake County relies solely on grant funding and private donations to operate its programs in
our community. There are numerous sponsorship opportunities available for businesses and individuals wishing to
support a drug-free community.
Training & Speakers
Safe Climate Coalition organizes or pays for trainings/conferences to enable “evidence-based” programs and
strategies that meet Lake County’s risk and protective factors. *This year the Coalition paid for the main speaker
(Dr. Brown) with the 2011 Child Protection Conference. As an employer, parent group, civic group or interested
